Original Moxie Results!

So Original Moxie is the bomb! At least for my hair I can state that. I tried the lux locks, hair bling, and the just gel together and it gave me the ultimate twists and twist out :). The shine was amazing. It makes me want to purchase the other products and see how a wash n go would go for me. I cant wait to try a wash n go but my hair isnt ready for it yet. The top of my head hasnt really gotten its curl pattern yet but slowly its started to. With Original Moxie products you dont have to as much as you think. It does tend to have a herbal smell which i like but others may not like the herbal smell but it doesnt bother my allergies and the results are worth the smell :) C'est Tout! Summer time and other things!



my hair as of today

Its been awhile since I blogged and here are some of my reasons:

Im trying to enjoy the weather and my son
Traveling etc.

Okay so I have way more reasons then that lol but I dont feel like typing them. Summer time has definitely had an effect on me writing and such. Plus with a baby its hard to find some time to do a blog but right now I am definitely writing. I havent forgotten about the few ppl who may read my blog as guidance or just to read.

So I did a twist with the original moxie lux locks just gel and the BLING gel and its a wonderful combination I loved the results. Although my son kept pulling my hair so my twists did frizz up a bit but theyre still nice and lovely and Im learning to really love my hair. This does take time to do but I will update you with more results of a twist out. For some reason it takes a few days for my hair to take to the twists and for me to get true definition. So I will be taking these twists out to see the results and I cant wait.

So I flew off from the face of the earth!

Its been awhile since I blogged and the reason being my "Terry" he's been teething and being an extreme butt to me. While wanting his daddy all the time and leaving mommy in the shadows. Im a little bit relieved that he is starting to cling to his dad but at the same time I got so used to him clinging to me that it hurts me a little bit. What can I say I want him to want me but at the same time he can be a tad bit overbearing! Plus I havent got any sleep at all this past week. Last night he decided to wake up from his sleep and wanted to play and watch documentries on the Ancient Greece and some other one I put on Netflix to fall asleep to (obviously he didnt fall asleep). So I thought after he would fall asleep he would sleep in for a little bit nope! He woke up at 8am after only getting 4 hrs of sleep ugh! Teething is the DEVIL yep it is. Sorry im just venting as I write!

So enough about him as he lies in bed. So with my hair Ive still been manging twists and yes i did have a twist out with the l.o.c. method but where is it? I didnt think of taking one i was loving it and we got our pictures taken. Now thats when my hair confidence went down... I did not know what to do with my hair or whether it would be more "proper" to straighten it... Well I just wore it in my twists and accepted that this was my hair plus we were running late so I didnt get to do a twist out :( but the pictures came out great and I love my natural hair even more because it showed me who I was and that my hair is a part of me. Ill have to post pictures later of the photos it probably wont be soon b/c I do not have a scanner at all.

I also seen some hairstyles that I want to try on natural hair that was done on a person with straight hair, I do think its possible and Ill check in soon. Oh have a greaat weekend because I am. Je t'aime le soleil et le sud entre mes doigts des pieds! :) yes i just spoke some french.. Still learning.

I think I love blogging a little bit too much! But who cares if you read it you read it, if you dont you dont lol! Its my therapy and thats all that matters so I tried the Loc method as an experiment to see if it would truly give me the moisture and shine that I desired and it did! YAY ME lol I just feel so happy on the inside and feel like spreading my love to everyone out there.

Yes life is hard but i'm going to do my best to keep loving and not let my heart get hardened by anything or anyone. Anyways back to the topic of hair so for those who dont know what the lock method is lemme just brief you on what I have learned so far.

L~Liquid The liquid helps moisturize your hair and what i used for my hair was water and a little bit of Kinky Curly Knot Today (just a lil though u can also mix it in with water). Usually water is the best method to add moisture to your hair.
O~Oil or Butter the oild helps to seal the moisture in or a butter does the same. I used Jane Carters Nourish and shine and let me tell you it worked shine shine shine
C~Cream The cream then helps to seal in the oil/butter you use in your hair

So far thats all i know for now but hey will learn more.... it works esp if your hair always struggles to retain moisture its been about a week since a did it and it has shine still and soft

Curlies in the Midwest

Well today I was thinking to myself, why arent there any natural hair things here. Right here in Indiana in the Midwest. There aren't too many people out here who are natural, and if it wasnt for the internet there are a more than a few people in this area that would be lost because no one really has knowlegde of dealing with naturally curly hair. And btw I do mean curlies of all types and categories because we are all curly sisters regardless of hair type, texture, skin, or the stigmas of what people with good hair must look like or what kind of hair they must have.

We all have the same struggles with are curls and some more than others and we just have to embrace eachother. :) so with that being said here are a few goals that I would like to accomplish regarding giving back to the natural community:

To help educate my friends on natural hair
To provide comfort and support
To being able to help spread the natural hair movement to the midwest
And to learn from each person I come across and maybe theyll learn something from me too :)
To help more ppl embrace their curls
To discuss hair of all kinds from curls to dreadlocs etc
And hopefully i will be a help to someone even if its just one person thats all that matters

Failed Twist Out/Very Little Curl Defintion

So its almost been a week since my big chop and i  have to say theres some pros and cons to it. Im not used to styling my hair this short but thats the only con besides the mini afro up top. I think its due to my top being more chemically curly then my bottom. My sissy in law told me the back was wayyy more natural then the top and i think thats where the conflict begins with my hair but atlas i know it shall be curly one day too...just patience will have to be one of my virtures :-0. Other than that being said I love the way the twist twist ( a lil bit of a tongue tier) and my curls arent weighed down theres a lot of benefits i just have to make a lot of adjustments like juggling baby, husband, and hair... its a lot of work im telling ya. Plus getting adjusted to figuring out short hair styling.

After the Big Chop

So I had to give myself i few days to adjust to the big chop! I still love my hair though but when i woke up i was not as excited as i was the first day i got it. I had to give myself a few days to adjust to the short texture and how tightly packed my curls were.

For some reason i think my hair went into a shock too because lately its just sticking up as a fro and the products arent really working. I think it needs to adjust...My hair is doing a WTF or WTH right now and its telling me that i need time to work this out. I love the feel of it and everything im just waiting on the definition to do a SNAP BACK on me.

I started making well 1 youtube video i do plan on making more but i have to give myself some time to adjust to it b/c my hair is not the same..its healthier but short and i dont like having short hair but this too shall pass!
